Men's Ministry

At the heart of St Margaret’s Men’s Ministry is the call to lay down our lives for one another (John 15:12-13).

We want our relationships to be real, honest and encouraging, with Jesus at the centre. Men’s Ministry therefore exists to:

  • Help men become deeper followers of Jesus (discipleship).
  • Share the gospel with men in the local area (evangelism).
  • Create places where lives can be shared, and trust between men can grow (friendship).

These aims are worked out in the following regular events and initiatives...

Men’s Breakfasts

We gather 3-4 times a year on a Saturday morning for a Full English breakfast, a 20mins talk, and plenty of time for discussion. These are great occasions for the men of the church to develop friendships and grow in their walks with Jesus.

Check out the 'Events' page to see the details of the next breakfast.

Men’s Football

A fun and friendly football evening open to all abilities and ages (16+) on Monday evenings, 8pm-9pm. A great place to get fit, build friendships and create space to invite others in to.

Men’s Impact Groups

We all need a space where we can be real with those we trust. Impact Groups are small groups of 2-4 men who meet regularly (either weekly, fortnightly or monthly) to study the Bible, support and encourage each.

Men’s Contented Weekend

Once a year we go away for 24 hours, enjoying an extended period of friendship, fun, honest chats and time looking at God’s word. Overnight accommodation options include: camping, onsite rooms or simply commuting up each day. Our next weekend is scheduled for 20-21st September 2025.

Men’s Socials

Socials happen at different points throughout the year, providing space for friendships to grow and a natural opportunity to invite friends.
